My research in theoretical physics is at the interfaces of condensed matter, non-equilibrium statistical mechanics and atomic, molecular & optical (AMO) physics. Currently I am studying:
(a) strong light-matter interactions in one-dimensional continuum using analytical (multiparticle scattering theory) and numerical (time-evolving block decimation with matrix product states) techniques;
(b) physical mechanism(s) of many-body localization (MBL) and experimental methods to probe MBL in disordered systems with short- or long-range interactions; and
(c) non-equilibrium dynamics of spin, charge and energy in magnetic and spin-orbit coupled materials including synthetic topological superconductors.
