I am interested in studying
(a) Structure and ordering of nanoparticles and nanorods in thermotropic as well as lyotropic liquid crystals
(b) Diamagnetic properties of lyotropic liquid crystals as a function of temperature using magnetic susceptibility measurements.
(c) Electrical conductivity of surfactant solutions and lyotropic liquid crystal systems.
(d) Magnetic birefringence and magneto-conductivity of liquid crystals and liquid crystal-nano composites.
(e) Association of surfactant micelles and water molecules with carbon nanostructures using 1H NMR chemical shifts and spin-lattice relaxation time (T1) measurements.
